1,500 Pounds Of Pineapples Fall On Jersey City Man

A 39-year-old Jersey City warehouse worker was taken to the hospital after 1,500 pounds of pineapples fell on him.

Jersey City Medical Center EMS responded to the incident on West Side Avenue at 3:40 pm, said hospital spokesman Mark Rabson.

The man never lost consciousness and was in stable condition at the hospital this evening, said Robert Luckritz, director of the hospital's EMS Unit.
