Metallica fans, while you're going to have to wait until late September/early October to see the band's first 3-D full-length movie, a new trailer is out that may just hold you over until then.  According to Loudwire,  ‘Metallica Through the Never’ tells the story of Trip, portrayed by actor Dane DeHaan, a fictional character who is a roadie that was given an important task during a Metallica show. Throughout Trip's journey, he has to battle protesters, riots and he even takes on a masked horseman, as the story plays out, song by song with the amazing music of Metallica as the soundtrack.

The performance footage was created and filmed exclusively for the movie and the trailer gives us a sneak-peak as to exactly what’s in store. The movie seems to have everything from explosive pyrotechnics, piercing lasers and a Metallica-sized-stage fit for the big screen. From the teaser, it looks as if this movie is going to be an all-out assault on the senses.

‘Metallica Through the Never’ is set to make its IMAX debut on September 27 and will be available in additional theaters on Oct. 4
