Ez-Pass customers beware!

The New York State Thruway Authority is warning customers about a phishing scam.

People have received fake emails that are made to look like an official is stating that customers have unpaid tolls.

According to an article on lohud.com the NYS Thruway Authority states:

"Please be advised this is not an authorized communication from E-ZPass, the New York State Thruway Authority or any other toll agency associated with E-ZPass.

"We advise you not to open or respond to such a message should you receive one."

Do NOT click the link in the email.

Anyone having questions about any correspondence can call the customer service center at 800-333-8655.
