Why Jason Newsted Left Metallica [VIDEO]

Jason Newsted, the former bass player for Metallica has broken a 13-year silence in a recent interview as to the real reasons behind his departure from the legendary band.  In an interview with ScuzzTV, Jason Newsted opens up about what was behind his decision to leave Metallica.

Apparently the decision stemmed from a side project you may remember Newsted being a part of a band called ‘Echobrain.’ The fact that James Hetfield and Metallica wouldn’t support him on it ultimately led to Newsted’s decision to leave.
