People who smoke pot in New Jersey might not have to worry about getting thrown in jail if a bill becomes law.

The bill won unanimous support Monday by the Assembly Judiciary Committee. It decriminalizes possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

If it's passed by both houses and signed by Governor Christie, it will downgrade possession to fines.
