Today is Jackie Robinson Day
It was 67 years ago today that Jackie Robinson stepped on the baseball field for the Brooklyn Dodgers breaking the color/race barrier as the first professional black player in Major League Basball.
Major League Baseball recognizes this day with all players wearing #42 today. April 15th is now celebrated across baseball as Jackie Robinson Day.
