Tips on Winning $1000 in “Benny” Bucks

It's real money of course! We are just calling it "Benny" Bucks for the sake of our contest.

What you need to do is listen for the "Cue to Call"  sounder throughout the month of May. The cue to call is "Staten Island Stephanie" talking about everything Jersey Shore. She sounds like a typical chick from Staten Island, or North Jersey.

So, how to improve your odds of winning:

Make sure you’re listening ALL DAY!
The contest can happen any time between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday-Friday. You might notice a certain pattern to when in the hour the contest happens, and you also might get a little hint from us DJs during the day as to when it’s coming up, but make sure you’re listening so you don’t miss it!

Call the right phone number!
To win this contest, you need to be the 25th caller to 877-854-WINS(9467). If you call the regular Hawk contest number (877-Hawk-1057) you’re not going to win anything. So remember — Benny Bucks phone number is 877-854-WINS!

Call from a landline.
This is not a surefire thing, but landlines tend to connect faster than cell phones, and when the calls are pouring in from across the country, every millisecond counts!

Use speed dial!
Again, every millisecond counts, so if you can shave off some time by keeping 877-854-WINS(9467) saved in your phone, do it!

Don’t wait to dial
Call the contest number -877-854-WINS- as soon as you hear that initial sound! Don’t wait to hear the contest number or the command to call now. Call the moment you hear the cue to call sounder start!

If at first you don’t get through, try, try again!
24 other people need to get through before there’s a winner, so keep redialing for a while after you hear the sounder…you might get through after a couple tries!

If you hear ringing, DON’T HANG UP.
If the phone is ringing, DO NOT hang up! So many times, people call in for contests, and they hang up right as I’m about to pick up the phone. (If it’s been 3 or 4 minutes, there’s a decent chance there’s already been a winner, but sometimes it can take 1-2 minutes to get through all the calls to find an eligible winner!)

Persistence pays off.
Even if you can never get through, keep trying everyday. Persistence absolutely pays off, and you just have to get through once to win, right?
