We finally get warm weather today just in time for the holiday weekend, and most people love it, but there are a few people that are annoyed that temps are in the upper 80's today and we missed Spring altogether.

NOT true. Temperatures will be in the 70's after this Memorial Day Weekend.

Let's just be grateful about warm weather, because 200 years ago, there was NO SUMMER....

That's right. I just learned about this from reading the Sandpaper, and I want to share this with you.

Back in 1816, there was frost and snow in New Jersey in JUNE! Yup...In June. Lakes were freezing in August. This happened, and it was because of a massive volcano eruption a year earlier in Indonesia from Mount Tambora that sent ash into the stratosphere. The ash was so thick & dense, that here wasn’t enough light and heat to create summer almost a year later.

Let's hope this never happens again!!!. I need my boat, Tices Shoal, First Call Friday, the beach, the boardwalk etc.

I do not want to experience a "Year without Summer"
