Lovely Christina and I were talking today about how ridiculous some of the soccer players are that pretend to be hurt during the game. They roll all over the ground clinching their (add appendage here) and acting like (add appendage here) was put through a meat grinder. Just stop it! Enough already!!! Stop making a fool of yourself!!

England took on Italy in the first round of the World Cup over the weekend. As time was winding down Saturday in Manaus, Brazil, England found itself down 2-1. After a free kick by Italy deflected off the crossbar and out of bounds, England's goalie, Joe Hart, was pretty anxious for his goal kick. Like really really anxious.

Don't worry, the kid didn't really get knocked out. On the plus side, he blocked the shot!

This soccer team had a bit of trouble scoring goals, so the fans came up with a way to lend a hand.

The US women's soccer team goes for gold tomorrow (Thursday 8/9)  as they look for "payback" vs the Japan Soccer team.

Football fans have a reputation for being a little too rowdy. I am one and I know it is partially true. We drink a bit too much before the game at time. There is an occasional fight in the stands as well. I do know one thing though. We have NOTHING on European soccer fans.
