Belated birthday wishes to Lou Gramm, best known as lead vocalist and co-songwriter of Foreigner.

He was born Louis Andrew Grammatico on May 2, 1950, in Rochester, New York, and turned 62 yesterday.

Circus magazine wrote in 1978 that Gramm had a voice that Robert Plant might envy.

Lou was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in 1997 and the surgery and recovery program caused him to gain weight and altered his voice, but he continues to make music (Christian rock) with The Lou Gramm Band ("LGB").

"Baptized by Fire" is the title track of LGB's 2009 album.
