By now you've probably heard about it.

Kony 2012 exploded this week on social media.

It's a film and campaign by Invisible Children, a group that says it's trying to get Joseph Kony arrested and charged with horrific war crimes in Africa, including child slavery.

Kony claims his Lord's Resistance Army movement has been fighting to install a government in Uganda based on the Biblical 10 Commandments, and his rebels are terrorizing the people in the Congo, South Sudan and the Central African Republic.

Kony is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes.

It's natural to want to help stop this monster, but before you donate, you might want to read the article in The Daily What that Free Beer and Hot Wings talked about this morning.

You might decide that it's not wise to donate to Invisible Children.

The article does suggest charities that you can donate to comfortably that have 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator, like Doctors Without Borders.
