It's July 1st!!!! That means it's time for the New York Mets to write a check to former baseball player Bobby Bonilla in the amount of $1.2 million dollars. To be exact, it's $1,193,248.20 that the NY Mets have to pay him each year until 2035! Yup....2035

I think I need to hire his agent!!!!Bobby Bonilla is 52 years old and the Mets released him after the 1999 season despite owing the remaining $5.9 million on his contract. Rather than pay him then, New York agreed to defer Bonilla’s payment 10 years and send him a check for $1,193,248.20 every year for 25 years. That means Bonilla will make almost $1.2 million annually until 2035, earning a total of $29.8 million.

By the way.....Bobby Bonilla is the 9th highest paid player on the Mets payroll.
