Former Mets catcher, Mike Piazza received 83 percent of the vote by the Baseball Writers’ Association beating 75-percent of the votes needed for induction to the Hall of Fame. This was Piazza's fourth attempt to be voted in.

Former Mariners and Reds superstar Ken Griffey Jr. was elected on his first ballot with a record of 99.3 percent of the vote.

They both will be inducted in Cooperstown on July 24th
