When you tune into the local news, you may expect them to report on stories like this, but you definitely don't expect them to BE stories like this.

Dave Benton, an anchor on WCIA-TV in Champaign, Ill., has brain cancer and has been undergoing treatment for a tumor.

Unfortunately for Benton, doctors recently told him that there's not much that can be done and that he only has four to six months to live.

Despite the terminal diagnosis, he is forging ahead and living his life and continuing to work.

During last Thursday's broadcast, Benton decided to share this news with viewers, with his co-anchor at his side.

He said his faith is going to get him through this and that he's going to live each day to the fullest. It's pretty powerful stuff, considering the circumstances.
