For all the times you see schools get hard nosed on punishment and all of the notorious zero tolerance cases that make the national news, this may be the most outrageous case of punishment yet.

An eight-year-old blind child from a North Kansas City, Mo., elementary school was apparently getting a little rowdy on the school bus. So, he got punished by school officials, WDAF Fox 4 reported.

The logical thing to do was take away a lifeline for the disabled boy -- his walking cane -- and replace it with something embarrassing and not useful, a pool toy. Right?
