The Foo Fighters surprised fans on Saturday with the announcement of a last minute show at the Forum in Los Angeles that was star-studded, to say the least.

In fact, according to loudwire.com, Dave Grohl marveled at the evening’s talent fearing they had already played the biggest show of 2015 with it only being a week into the New Year.

As reported at antimusic.com, the band brought out a who's who of rock stars to join them at the concert including Slash, Paul Stanley, Alice Cooper, David Lee Roth, Zakk Wylde and more.

It was all to celebrate Mr. Grohl's 46th birthday....nothing more was known other than the fact that Foo Fighters were booking a special last-minute gig at the Forum to give Grohl an early birthday present (his birthday is Jan. 14).
