Do You Remember “The Summer Jam”?

This coming weekend marks the anniversary of one of the biggest rock festivals of all time.

On July 28, 1973, more than 600,000 people showed up at a one-day concert at the Watkins Glen Raceway in New York  State that was billed as The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen.

The Dead, The Band, and The Allman Brothers all performed.

Strange that such a huge event is largely forgotten.
