David Lee Roth is yearning for the old days.

He told Rolling Stone magazine in a new interview that he and Eddie haven't really talked about Roth's desire to have original bassist Michael Anthony back in the lineup.

According to loudwire.com, DLR said:

"We haven’t really been able to speak about it and it’s a disappointment, just as not having a chance for a reunion of the original band."

He added that he believes Michael has one of the best high tenor voices ever--as identifiable as the high voices in Earth, Wind & Fire and The Beach Boys.

Of course, Anthony has been replaced by Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang for the band’s latest incarnation.

Do you miss Michael Anthony's presence in the band?
