Jersey ranks high for a lot of things; great places to relax, amazing food and nightlife for you to enjoy, and of course we've got access to beaches, cities, and nature.

Jersey has a little bit of everything.

It even has one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

And trust me, I was absolutely blown away when I learned that it's a pretty popular destination near the Jersey Shore.

Taking a look at the big picture, the most dangerous small city in America is located in North Carolina.

It's a town of just over 19,000 people, but it's got on average 8 murders per year and a high crime rate based on the population.

I'm sure the town of Lumberton has its positive aspects, but according to Road Snacks, it's the most dangerous small city in the country.

I always take everything with a grain of salt, every place has a bad side to it as well as positive qualities.

For example, I live in Seaside Heights right now, and although my wife and I have never had any negative experiences it's known to be a little shadier than other towns in Jersey.

Opinions aside, Road Snack claims that Atlantic City, the best party city in America, is also one of the most dangerous small cities in the country.

Coming in at number 5 on the list of the top 10 most dangerous small cities in America it's got a high crime-to-population ratio and averages 7 murders per year.

My recommendation is to stick near the tourist area, the Casino, and the beach hotels if you plan on doing a weekend in AC.

We've been a few times over the years and have never had any major issues.

Despite all of this, Jersey really is a great place to live and raise a family.
