Bruce Springsteen, Louis C.K., John Oliver, John Mulaney, Brian Williams and other surprise guests with grace the annual show at New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden on November 5th.

Stand Up for Heroes is an evening of music and comedy that raises funds for injured service members and their families.

As reported at rollingstone.com:

The annual event is organized by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival. "Lee and I are so humbled by the generous contributions of the talent, sponsors, and variety of organizations in honor of our nation’s heroes and their families," Woodruff said in a statement. "Each year the show gets bigger and better, demonstrating the unwavering support of all those involved.

The event has been staged every year in NYC since 2007, raising more than $21 million and featuring performances by Roger Waters, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, Ricky Gervais, Jon Stewart and many others.

The Boss has played the event every single year and last year he told dirty jokes and auctioned off an electric guitar, an hour of personal guitar lessons, and an invitation to watch him record at his home studio.

Tickets went on sale yesterday and can be reserved at bobwoodwoodrufffoundation.org.
