Stafford Police say a Wednesday fire at the Universal Supply Company on East Bay Avenue has been ruled accidental.

Police responded to a report of a structure fire around 5:10 pm Wednesday that was reported by the assistant manager of the Universal Supply Company.

The Stafford Township Fire Company and other surrounding fire departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.

The Ocean County Fire Marshall's Office, Ocean County Sheriff's Department/ CSI, and Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Arson Unit responded to conduct a follow up the investigation.

The assistant manager was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, but did not require further medical treatment.

There were no other injuries reported.

The fire is still under investigation by the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention, the Ocean County Fire Marshall's Office, and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
