Pete Townshend has announced that there could be new music coming from The Who as they celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.

He'll be combing through the archives to dig up anything that might have been previously missed.

According to rttnews.com:

"I'm trying to [look] through my 20,000 hours of complete and utter disorganised music . . . I'll be pulling some songs out of Floss to give to Roger [Daltrey] to see if we've got enough to make an album.

"Floss" is Pete's ongoing rock opera project.

The Who are also releasing their DVD, "Quadrophenia: Live in London" this June, filmed at Wenbley Arena July 8, 2013 from the 40th anniversary celebration of their legendary rock opera.
