The Rolling Stones' 50 and Counting Tour is delivering the surprises promised.

In Oakland, California Sunday night, Tom Waits was invited to join them on-stage for "Little Red Rooster", a minor hit for the Stones back in 1964.

Waits has a voice possibly best described by one critic as "like it was soaked in a vat of Bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months and then taken outside and run over with a car."

Seems like a right fine gritty fit with the Stones to me. :-D
