A steel beam that was originally from the World Trade Center has been brought to Toms River today to be used for a permanent memorial at the Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department on Clayton Rd in Toms River
The memorial is for the firefighters and police officers that lost their lives at the World Trade Center on Sept 11th, 2001...
It's so hard to believe that the attacks on America at the World Trade Center in New York City happened 14 years ago.
Our everyday lives changed in a blink of an eye. Sometimes I sit and think about how things were on September 10th and before. Things didn't seem so complicated. The world wasn't that scary to us. It just wasn't.
The first jump doesn't come til about 2:30, but the beginning of the video is worth it just for the views and hearing the guys psych themselves up to jump off the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
Today marks the 12 year anniversary of the attacks on The World Center, and The Pentagon.
We will always remember the people in the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon, and the passengers on United flight 93, as well as the brave first responders that risked and lost their lives that September morning.
NEVER FORGET!!
April 4th, 1973 was the official ribbon cutting for the original World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.
The Twin towers stood as the world's largest buildings until the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) in Chicago surpassed them.
