The Late Show host presses the Governor on a timeless NJ battle. Murphy tries to solve the 'pork roll or Taylor Ham' fight & Stewart poses as a 'Jersey Justice'.
Jon Stewart and his wife Tracey have finalized the purchase of a farm in Colts Neck, with the intent to turn it into a sanctuary and education center next year.
Jon Stewart said goodbye to The Daily Show last night in equal parts star-studded and quiet, personal fashion as former correspondents like Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver and Olivia Munn returned to pay their respects, while Bruce Springsteen closed out the slow with a performance — at Stewart’s request — of his 1999 song “The Land of Hopes and Dreams” and, for his fellow New Jerseyan, “Born to Run”.
Stewart is stepping down after sixteen years of hosting duties on The Daily Show. It's hard to pick just one favorite moment, but I want to do a #throwbackthursday to a segment that I think changed the public's view of Stewart from a late-night comedian to a legitimate political influencer on an entire generation.
As regular viewers of The Daily Show know, host Jon Stewart was raised in Lawrenceville, NJ and attended Lawrence High School. So it was no surprise that on last night's episode, the political satirist was harsh on Governor Chris Christie and the ongoing "Bridgegate" scandal.
This was featured in last night's show. Even after watching it a few times, I still don't know what to make of the government shutdown, and is Obama-Care good or bad.
You know the debate will rage on, but Jon Stewart's take on this mess is pretty entertaining...
