They're invasive. They're creepy. They jump. Doesn't exactly sound like earthworms but they are. Oh, and they wriggle like snakes.

Every kind of critter is here, from fossilized arthropods to big, live bugs like millipedes, scorpions, hermit crabs, and yes, tarantulas.

So my Wife found this caterpillar in her backyard garden and she described it as looking like a dog with a saddle on its back. Maybe a little like a dachshund aka "hot dog" lol but whatever it looks like, this bug packs a bite!

This is a debate we find ourselves in every summer….which is worse, the green head fly or the mosquito? Both are summer residents here at the Jersey Shore. If you have lived here for any time, then you know that these are two HUGE pests!
