The 200 Club of Monmouth County is holding their annual valor awards Friday which honors police, fire and first aid responders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

If you don't believe me, and you are a fan of chili, then you have to stop by the chili cook-off happening this Saturday 3/25 from 2p-5p at the Pleasant Plains Firehouse located at 40 Clayton Ave to find out which firefighter makes the best chili.
This Sunday, right outside of Bums Rogers Crabhouse on 23rd avenue in Seaside Park, there will be a great block party from 12p-5p under the big tent to raise money for Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Department, Seaside Park Police, Berkeley Township PBA #237, and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad.
As I try to grasp all that's happened in the past couple of days due to the hurricane, I can't stop thinking about the brave men and women who are there in times of disasters like this.
