Beach Replenishment

Ocean County 10th District State Legislators are now making a push for the Murphy Administration to cover the costs of the Army Corps of Engineers beach replenishment projects.

Ocean County Commissioners have directed about $4-million of the bill for the municipalities along the northern barrier island to have beach replenishment work done.

I had NO IDEA so much went into repairing our dunes! More than getting the project funded and approved, the sand selection (if not dredging the sand from the ocean floor) is super specific.

The work continues five years later....
