Anniversary

I'm so happy to celebrate Shawn Michaels - 25 years over the airwaves at WOBM.

It was August, 10th 1991 at St. Theresa's RC Church in Little Egg Harbor where it all began. I remember it was a hot August day but things went without a hitch and yes we got hitched lol ....see what I did there? lol

I have childhood memories of enjoying the amusements at Asbury Park. In fact, was there one day when Bruce Springsteen's producer asked my friends and me to wear a microphone when we went of a ride to capture our laughter and screaming so he could use it on his new record at the time, Tunnel of Love. If you listen to the beginning and the end of that song you can hear us. I remember Tillie looking at us and somehow not being freaked out because that haunting yet festive symbol meant good times at the Jersey Shore. The Tillie we all remember form the side of The Palace is coming on it's 65th anniversary...so where is Tillie? You won't like the answer.

Yesterday (9/12) was the three year anniversary of the Seaside Park fire that destroyed what was left of the boardwalk that was unaffected from Hurricane Sandy. I remember it was a Thursday afternoon around 2:30 pm when I started seeing things pop up on Facebook about the fire...

It's pretty incredible that it was 100 years ago to the date that Titanic set sail on it's maiden voyage from Southhampton, England to New York City.  4 days later,  the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank into the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean...
