Pink Salon in Middletown will be closed until further notice the owner announced on Facebook, after police say a car struck the brick facade of the building and continued inside shattering the glass of the salon.

Police arrived on the scene around 8:50 am on Thursday morning to the Route 35 salon to investigate the vehicle that crashed into the building.

No injuries are being reported but police have issued Thomas Catena, 49, of Keansburg a summons for careless driving.

"I am sorry to inform all our customers that we at Pink Salon will be closed until further notice due to this unfortunate accident. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep u posted. Everyone is ok but the building is not," Pink Salon said in a statement on Facebook. "Anyone that needs to contact us can do so through here or Denise at 732-768-9578. We are going to offer 20% off to all our loyal customers for your inconvenience! Thank you all."

Units from Old Village Fire Company and the Middletown Township Fire Department Special Services Unit also responded to the scene.
