A Manasquan woman and two Wall Police Officers can be accurately called heroes today for their life saving efforts to bring a man back to life.

On Monday, February 4 around 12:00 p.m., Patrolman Mark Daugherty and Patrolman Chris Roeck responded to a first aid call at a Foodtown on Route 35.

Officers were responding to a report that a 61 year old male had collapsed inside the store.

When they arrived, the man had no pulse and was not breathing.

It was the efforts of a Good Samaritan, Tina Manco of Manasquan, who had initiated the response to revive the man.

Patrolman Daugherty and Patrolman Roeck continued the lifesaving efforts that included the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Wall Township Police EMS, South Wall Fire Rescue and MONOC Paramedics arrived on scene and assisted.

Through their combined lifesaving efforts, the patient regained both a pulse and consciousness while on scene and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment and was subsequently released.
