Sad, Saying Goodbye to Our Fur Babies is Never an Easy Thing to Do
This is not a sad post, it is a celebration of our dog Dexter who we were blessed to have had with us for nearly 18 years. We lost Dex, basically to old age, and as I did with our other dog Max, I wanted to write about this wonderful pet and share him with you at home.
A friend of mine said when he heard of Dexter's passing that "it's truly losing a family member". For us, Dexter was definitely family and everyone loved him and his spunky attitude. Dexter was a Maltipoo and although he was tiny, he thought he was an Irish Wolfhound lol Dex had no problem letting other dogs and people know that he was in charge.
I know many of you at home have pets and you know that love for your pets and how special it is. We all love to enjoy that special bond with our pets, no matter what kind of animal you have, their love is special and it's comforting to our families.
You may remember a series I did on social media called the "Daily Dex" I shared with you fun daily pics of Dexter and all his adventures, and I'm glad I got to do that with you.
Dexter lived a great life right up til the end and had little illness along the way, we are grateful for that. Thanks for letting me share our little boy with you and give your pets a hug from us :)
