$50,000 winning lottery ticket sold at Wawa in New Jersey

Imagine walking into your local Wawa for a cup of coffee or a hoagie and leaving with an extra $50,000.

For one person in South Jersey, that's exactly what happened last week.

And we did the math — with $50,000, you could buy about 12,000 cups of coffee or about 3,500 hoagies... after taxes, of course.

According to officials with the New Jersey Lottery, 14 people hit jackpots of at least $10,000 last week with one person scoring $1.7 million.

As for that winning Wawa location, someone playing Powerball at the store on Route 45 in Pilesgrove, Salem County, on February 1st, walked away with 50 big ones.

• January 27 — $21,162 from Pick-6 via a ticket bought online

• January 28 — $1,699,120 from Jersey Cash 5 with a ticket bought at Krauszer's on West Washington Avenue in Washington Borough, Warren County

• January 28 — $10,000 from the $10,000 Loaded game at 7-11 in Fairlawn, Bergen County

• January 29 — $10,000 from $10,000 Loaded at King's in Upper Montclair, Essex County

• January 30 — $20,000 from Jersey Giant Winnings at Paul Mart in Phillipsburg, Warren County

• January 31 — $20,000 from Mega Millions at Kelly's Liquors in Belleville, Essex County

• January 31 — $10,000 from Mega Millions at Krauszer's in Belleville, Essex County

• February 1 — $25,000 from Crossword Bonanza at 7-11 in Mountainside, Union County

• February 1 — $50,000 from Powerball at Wine Outlet in Point Pleasant Beach, Ocean County

• February 1 — $50,000 from Powerball at 7-11 in Cresskill, Bergen County
