The Jersey Shore restaurant with the best reviews I've seen in a long time is Whispers in Spring Lake. Whispers is located in the Hewett-Wellington Hotel at 200 Monmouth Avenue in Spring Lake.

Just a couple of the spectacular reviews from this Jersey Shore restaurant from trip advisor and Jersey Shore residents:

*Amazing, the seafood was cooked perfectly

*Jane and Harold from Toms River emailed me and told me they go every year and absolutely love this quaint restaurant on Christmas Eve.

*Lots of reviews like great service, great setting, and the presentation was perfect.

The drive from Ocean County is not that far to Spring Lake, could be worth it. I remember going to Whispers once on a beautiful summer night. It was absolutely delicious and gorgeous. I went with my aunt and uncle who were visiting me from Pennsylvania and they had a house in Spring Lake, it was delightful. My uncle always said, "It was the best lobster he ever had."
