Construction Is Underway At The New Saker Shop Rite In Manahawkin
The new Shop Rite is moving from Stafford Square to Manahawkin Commons on Route 72 in Manahawkin. The new location will be in the former Kmart location at Manahawkin Commons. The Stafford Township Planning Board gave its final approval for the project this past February.
I had a chance to recently pass by the new location and wanted to share some pics with you and show the construction project and how it looks.
The former Kmart is being transformed into a brand new Shop Rite ay Manahawkin Commons.
The new world-class Saker Shop Rite will be approximately 116,000 square feet.
According to Patch, "Planning board documents show that construction is planned in three phases. The first phase includes the renovation of Kmart and parking lot improvements. The second phase will be constructing additions to the buildings. And the third phase is constructing a Route 72 access road."
NJ's Best Mom and Pop Restaurant
This new Shop Rite and additional new shopping outlets will significantly improve the Manahawkin Commons Shopping Center, which had less traffic following the closing of the Super Kmart several years before.
