New Jersey's Most Irresistible, Crowd-Pleasing Nachos

A delicious plate of nachos is perfect for lunch, dinner, or a snack. Nachos are a fun dish to share and are great at a party. For me, the more veggies and cheese the better. I came across this article from Lovefood and they highlighted the best nachos in America, including us right here in the Garden State.

According to Lovefood, "Arguably the best appetizer ever, nachos are the perfect vehicle for all our favorite toppings, such as smooth, silky queso, sour pickled jalapeños, fresh guacamole and spicy salsa. Plus, they're shareable, so there’s no excuse not to order a plate for the table."

Wikipedia says, "Traditional nachos consist of the tortilla chips topped with cheese and jalapeños, as done by Anaya. The modern form of nachos has several possible ingredients with the most common toppings being cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, olives, refried beans, ground beef, chicken, and sometimes lettuce."

I personally prefer beef on my nachos to chicken, but both are good. I can even do a vegetarian version of nachos with no meat.

Here in New Jersey, Lovefood selected a restaurant in Hudson County as having the best nachos in the Garden State, "Aesthetically pleasing taqueria Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen, which has eight locations throughout the state, is the ultimate spot for vegan nachos in New Jersey. Its Viva La Nachos takes hand-cut tortillas and loads them with black beans, salsa, cheese, crema and marinated peppers, then you add a protein like fried avocado, Beyond Tacoriza (which is vegan chorizo) or delicious, charred Brussels sprouts in chipotle sauce."
