Whenever we can find a good and heartwarming story to write, we jump right on it. This story fits the mold because it involves heroes a baby and a loving family who are happy in the end. It sounds like a a Hallmark movie, but it happened right here in New Jersey and of all places, on one of the busiest roads in the Garden State.

According to Patch, "It was 9:03 p.m. when Upper Township EMS Squad 21 and Seaville Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the northbound side of the Parkway for the report of a woman in labor, Seaville Fire Rescue shared in a Facebook post."

Imagine being on the Garden State Parkway and saying to yourself "Omg I'm gonna have a baby right here and right now!" on the side of a busy highway! That's when our heroes jumped into action!

The Patch story added "Deputy Chief Brian Allegretto arrived on the scene at 9:09 p.m., along with state police, Upper Township's ambulance and Seaville's firetruck. Allegretto, also a paramedic, and EMTs Jessica Wriggins and William Handley assessed the mom-to-be and found that delivery was imminent. So, they prepared for delivery in her car."

Hats off to all the rescue personnel who helped deliver this beautiful baby into the world. Mother and baby are reported to be doing fine. The baby was named Amelia Charlotte.

This story reminds me of when my daughter was born. My wife and I had been to the hospital earlier in the day, but it was determined it wasn't time yet, so we went home. Later that day it was time. We jumped in the car and headed for the Garden State Parkway to get to Community Medical Center in Toms River. One problem it was April and it was snowing! It was close and I thought we might have had to welcome our baby girl on the Garden State Parkway and in the snow! Good news both mom and baby ended up at the hospital and were fine. I guess the Garden State Parkway is a popular place for babies!
