  • Red Bank

  • Ocean Grove

I used to do a morning show at another radio station (1990-1996) and our studios were just down the road from Spring Lake very often we would be involved in events and functions that were held in Spring Lake and it is a beautiful town. Spring Lake has some of the best homes and restaurants on the shore. "Known for its Victorian homes and tree-lined streets, Spring Lake is often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Jersey Shore.'

Red Bank, New Jersey

Another town that made the list in Monmouth County is Red Bank. I have seen many fantastic concerts in Red Bank at the famous Count Basie Center For The Arts. The historic venue has hosted the best shows for decades and continues to do so. I was also recently in Red Bank when I visited Jon Bon Jovi's "Soul Kitchen". It's a wonderful project and delicious food. If you haven't visited the Soul Kitchen (also in Toms River) try to make a trip because "Hope is Delicious". World Atlas added, "Red Bank also recently was named one of the top 15 places to retire in New Jersey, this time by Insider Monkey."

Ocean Grove, New Jersey

The third town at the shore to make the list of the "BEST" is Ocean Grove. A quiet and charming town in Monmouth County. I haven't spent a ton of time in Ocean Grove, but each visit was very nice. World Atlas said "Ocean Grove Beach is a quieter alternative to the often busier shores found elsewhere along the New Jersey coastline. It is perfect for those looking to enjoy swimming and sunbathing. The Great Auditorium is a must-visit, with its impressive architecture."

So next time you are looking for a great "day trip" here in the Garden State, use this list for guidance and enjoy these 6 beautiful New Jersey towns.
