We all have that one Christmas gift we got as a kid that rocked our world.  You know, our personal equivalent of the Red Ryder BB Gun for Ralphie.  If I asked you what your most memorable gift of all time was, it would take you right back to that moment, wouldn't it?  I remember mine like it was yesterday.

We all want that epic parental win of getting our kids the kind of gift that they talk about even as adults. Maybe you need some ideas?  Why not draw some inspiration from us here at 94.3 The Point?  I asked our 94.3 The Point family what their super-special childhood Christmas gift was and here is what they had to say:

LOU:

Lou has always loved Christmas but when he was 8 years old he got a gift that he would always remember!  It was a black and red Huffy bike!  Of course, this is more than just a bike, it was freedom for little Lou to peddle around Staten Island like he owned that place! A brand-new set of wheels is a timeless gift idea!

SHANNON:

As I kid I always used to pretend that my bedroom was my own little apartment.  I wanted to decorate it that way...like a little adult. Do you know any other 9-year-olds who have a fern in the corner?  So when my mom got me my very own mini fish tank for my bedroom, I was over the moon.  The coolest part is that my mom took the extra step the night before to clean it, fully set it up and stock it with my new fish. It was on a stool, plugged in under the tree all lit up and when I walked in the visual was amazing!  I'll never forget it!  If you go this route make sure to go the extra mile and set it up...in the box, it would not have been as electric.

NICOLE MURRAY:

Wanted a bunk bed with a slide!  Whoa...I wish I thought of this one! Cool beds were a thing of the 80's...remember Ricky Schroder's super enviable race car bed? Well for that matter dude had a train in his living room.  In any event, Nicole has always been a big thinker and this is proof!

MATT RYAN:

So little Matt Ryan said his best Christmas gift ever was when he got his very own TV for his bedroom!  I SO agree!  That would be the other best gift I ever got. It was so much more than just a TV, it was a window into the outside world. It was a huge way to visualize what you wanted as an adult...I wanted to grow up to be like the media people I saw on the local news. Matt Ryan probably just wanted to watch The Dukes of Hazzard in peace. Leave it to me to make this deep. LOL!

So I think the theme here is if you want to rock your kids' world for Christmas, get them a gift that makes them feel empowered or has their own thing going on.  It seems like anything that they can upgrade their bedroom with or can give them independence (Lou and his new set of wheels) is a home run!
