The Jersey Shore is so much more than a vision or a day of body surfing.  It may very well feed our souls but it literally feeds us too.  Get ready for a seafood feast like no other because it is time for the 44th Festival Of The Sea in beautiful Point Pleasant Beach.

My husband will tell you that I love to sample a little bit of everything because the man has not had a plate of food to himself when out at a restaurant in the 20 years since I met him.  The Festival Of The Sea is knows for just that, sampling seafood vendors and the wines to go with them.  You know, a little of this, a little of that.  I mean, any place with a designated wine garden is for me and that is exactly what you can expect again this year.

Downtown Point Pleasant Beach will be buzzing on Saturday at Arnold and Bay Avenues from 10 am to 7 pm for the seafood festival dreams are made of.  What is your vice?  Lobster rolls?  Shrimp skewers? Crab cakes?  They will have it all!

The event is hosted by the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and they have over 250 vendors rumored to be participating.  That's a lot of lobster bisque.  There will also be live music, kid-friendly activities and that wine garden I keep mentioning so we can Chardonnay all day.  The rain date is Sunday.  If you are looking for seafood recommendations in Ocean County, here is the must-taste list!
