Popular Asbury Park, NJ Event With Live Music Expanding To Red Bank, NJ In 2022

A very popular, musical event that has been happening in Asbury Park since 2017 is now expanding to Red Bank!

Here are a few hints: it involves live music, being outdoors and porches.

Okay that might have been a bit obvious but I am talking about Porchfest!

Here is the premise.

According to APP.com, Porchfest is an outdoor event where musicians play all sorts of live music on residents' porches.

“It’s a music festival where, at different people’s houses, different musicians set up on the porch,” said Councilwoman Kate Triggiano according to APP.com. “You get a map and you go and you visit different locations and you listen to different music.”

“It’s a really, really fun event," added Councilman Edward Zipprich according to APP.com. "Musicians from all over the community get involved and it will be a really, really wonderful day."

I think any chance we have to expose the world to live music is a big win.

There is also a charitable aspect that comes with this event.

This event will benefit the Red Bank nonprofit HABcore who, "provides homeless families, veterans, and individuals with special needs with housing, meals, and nurturing support."

Sounds cool, right?

The Porchfest is not a new event to the Jersey Shore.

Asbury Park, whose Porchfest in 2022 is set for September 10th, has been hosting this outdoor musical event since 2017.
