It seems like yesterday when the Jersey Shore tourist gates swung open on Memorial Day Weekend.

Now those gates have slammed shut after Labor Day weekend and it’s time for us to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

Garden State Parkway. We do a good enough job overcrowding this roadway alone, and we’re glad we don’t have all the out-of-state company on our Parkway.
5 Things New Jersey Reclaims After Labor Day Weekend
The Beaches. Tourism is always good for local business, but it’s nice to get to the beach and have it feel like, well, our beach.
Parking. There is plenty of parking for eight months out of the year, but that disappears when the temperature hits 70 degrees in May. Those parking spots are available once again.
The Boardwalks. Maybe you want to take the kids on the rides, or you want a sausage and pepper sandwich. Starting now, the lines got a lot shorter.
Your Table At Your Favorite Restaurant. We go there all year, but in the summer you can’t get near it. But now, your favorite table at your favorite restaurant is available.
