It is no secret that COVID has done a number on all of us and we are still feeling the burn financially.  Goods and services are way over-inflated so when we figure out a way to save a buck we need to take it.

I just posted about the least expensive towns to raise a family in New Jersey.  You can read about the top 5 towns to have affordable living in our state here.  If you need something more immediate than picking up and moving locations, how about starting by switching food stores?  Supply chain issues have the economy spinning out of control but guess what?  There are some food stores doing their part and it is paying off.

One food store committed to lowering their prices so your basics are not going to break your bank account.  Have you shopped at Lidl yet?  There are new ones popping up all over New Jersey and people are raving about the savings.  In front of the Christmas rush, they are lowering the prices of some really important staple items on top of their really low prices to start with.  If you have not checked one out, it is really worth the trip.

Shoprite is really doing it's part too!  Of course, you get your free turkey or ham on the holidays if you rock up at least $400 in food over the course of the year (I do that in one trip).  Even more than that they have great digital coupons and with your savings card it really helps.  I save tons of money there, last trip I saved $100.  So if you scoff at the digital coupon stuff, it is time to get on board.

Remember these stores that we used to shop at with our parents?  They are long gone but we remember them!
