Everything is more expensive and all of us are hurting; Or at least everyone I talk to is.

According to NewsBreak.com, groceries are approximately 10% higher and the average family has had to take $7,000 from their savings in the last year to make ends meet.

There is another plan being put into place to help.

It's another stimulus package but this one leaves out a very important group of people.

It is called The Family Security Act 2.0.

Here's what this program entails:

According to NewsBreak.com, "millions of New Jersey residents will receive a stimulus payment of $3,000 to help families in this challenging time."

Parents with children who are 5 years old and younger would get $350 monthly payments. This adds up to an extra $4,200 per year.

Parents with kids who are between 6 and 17 years old would receive $250 monthly payments. This is an extra $3,000 per year.

If you are expecting, you can apply for the stimulus up to four months before your due date. Monthly payments would be $700 and a maximum of $2,800 would be given out during the pregnancy, according to NewsBreak.com.

Families can only claim benefits for a maximum of six children.

There are limitations to which families are eligible but more on this in one moment.

Do you notice who is missing from this plan? Anyone who does not have any dependents.

"Only 31.3% of New Jersey residents do not have a family, which means 68.6% of residents would be eligible for benefits under this program if they had children," according to NewsBreak.com.

So a majority of New Jersey residents would benefit but what about the rest of us?

Things are still more expensive and financially, things are tight. Maybe I could claim my dog as a dependent?

Okay, I won't do that but child or not, if your job did not give you a raise you basically took a pay cut in this economy.

And for those of us who were just getting by before are struggling to the max right now.

Help the kids first. Fine.

But then the rest of us are also waiting on a life ring as well.

There is one more thing to be aware of: not all families will be eligible for this stimulus.

A single taxpayer filing for financial assistance with their family must make no more than $200,000. A joint filer must make no more than $400,000 per year.

In addition, "A family's income must be least $10,000 to qualify. If the family's yearly income is less than $10,000, they will get a benefit based on that amount," according to NewsBreak.com.

I guess we should celebrate because help is on the way for kids across the Garden State.

Hopefully help for the rest of us is on the way soon.
