KEY POINTS

  • Arrive 1 HOUR prior to your wave time to ensure you have enough time to: park, check in at the Registration Tent, get your bib and wave time wristband, check your bag at our complimentary Bag Check Tent and head to the Start Line.
  • Please note that you will be given a colored wristband that corresponds with your specific wave time.  Wristbands must be worn and the correct color will only be allowed in the starting line corral. All others will be turned away. NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Credit card purchases will be possible for merchandise, food and beverage.
  • Bring your Driver’s License/State ID. You will not be allowed to pick up your bib and wave time wristband without it!
  • If you registered with a military discount, please bring your military ID.
  • Please wear appropriate clothing/footwear to get you through the race. Shoes are ok on the inflatable obstacles.
  • You may bring a lawn chair or blanket. You may not bring weapons, drugs, coolers or outside alcohol. You may bring your own water.

BUS ROUTE

  • Main pickup/drop off between Stockton & Farraugut (in front of Sawmill)
  • Left on Farraugut
  • Left on Boulevard
  • Right on J street (road ends)
  • Left on Route 35 South
  • Left on 13th Street
  • Left on Ocean Avenue

** NO passenger pickup or drop off on Route 35 or Boulevard.  All pickups and drop offs along Ocean Avenue.

EVENT SCHEDULE

FRIDAY PACKET PICKUP – SPORTS AUTHORITY

  • Save time on Saturday by picking up your race bib and wave wristband on Friday, September 5th. Stop by any time between 3pm – 7pm.
  • Minors are not required to show ID in order to pick up their packet. The adult picking up for them will be asked to verify the participants full name and birthday.
  • You may pick up a packet for team members, friends or family – however you will need a picture of the participant’s ID. This can be a photocopy, emailed scan or text. Packets will not be given without presenting this documentation first. NO EXCEPTIONS

PARKING

  • Attendees are instructed to stay to the right over the bridge, and take route 35 south thru Seaside Park.  To avoid gridlock, it’s advised to park between M Street and 13th Street.  Make left off Route 35 onto streets for parking.  Oceanfront parking and municipal lots are available for regular fees.
  • Once parked, walk east toward the beach/ocean from any street in Seaside Park between 13th Street and O Street.  Shuttle busses will be stopping at each corner along Ocean Avenue.
  • Note:  Parking spaces in the middle of Route 35 will NOT be available.
  • When leaving Seaside Park, it’s NOT advised to take Route 35 north toward Lavallette.  Massive gridlock and delays are expected.  Please take bridge to Route 37, Toms River.

REGISTRATION

  • When you arrive at the venue, check in at the Registration Tent. The tent will be clearly marked. Chose any lane and check in to get your bib and wave time wristband.
  • Registration begins at 7:30am.
  • Don’t remember your wave time? You can resend yourself a confirmation email with this information.
  • Please bring your Driver’s License/State ID.
  • Once you check in, you will receive a race bib, colored-coded wave time wristband and directions on how to enter the Insane Midway
  • Proceed to Bag Check if you have any belongings that you do not want to carry while you race.
  • All runners will receive a finisher’s t-shirt, medal, fruit/snack and water.

BAG CHECK

  • Complimentary Bag Check is provided for all runners at this event.
  • You will find your bag tag located on the bottom of your participant bib. Separate this portion and attach to your bag with a safety pin when you drop items off at the Bag Check tent.
  • The Insane Inflatable 5k is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

YOUR WAVE START TIME

  • Each participant should know his or her start time prior to race-day. If you do not know your wave time, you can resend yourself a confirmation email with this information.
  • Participants should arrive at least one hour prior to their wave time.
  • Participants will be given a color-coded wristband that corresponds to their wave time. Wristbands must be worn & the correct color will only be allowed in the starting line area. All others will be turned away.
  • Participants should line up in the Starting Line corral 10 minutes before their wave time.
  • All will receive a race bib to be worn in the front while running.

THE FINISH LINE

  • Upon completion of the race an Insane Inflatable 5k Team Member or volunteer will meet you at the Finish Line.
  • You will then receive your finisher’s t-shirt, medal, fruit/snack and water.

RACE RULES

  • All Participants must have an Insane Inflatable 5k bib pinned to the FRONT of their clothing to start the race.
  • Participants will be given a color-coded wristband that corresponds to their wave time. Wristbands must be worn & the correct color will only be allowed in the starting line area. All others will be turned away.
  • Alcohol may not be consumed prior to running the race.
  • Participants must line up 10 minutes prior to wave time, and you must run the wave you selected at registration.
  • You may skip an obstacle if it’s too tough.

SAFETY & EMERGENCY NEEDS

  • All participants acknowledge that participation in the Insane Inflatable 5k contains inherent risks and dangers. All participants must carefully read and sign the WAIVER during the registration process.
  • If you feel you cannot safely complete an obstacle, you should skip it and go around it.
  • In the event of an emergency requiring course evacuation, please follow all instructions given by Insane Inflatable5k Staff or Volunteers, Emergency Medical Personnel or Law Enforcement Officers.
  • If you experience or witness an emergency situation while on the course, please immediately seek out an Insane Inflatable 5k team Member (T-shirts marked “STAFF” or “VOLUNTEER” on the back). Staff and many volunteers will have radios and will provide quick assistance as needed.

SPECTATORS

  • Spectators may enter the event for free.
  • Spectators get full access to the games, challenges and experiences on the Insane Midway, and are invited to view many areas of the course in designated Spectator Viewing Areas.
  • Spectators must follow the same rules as runners: You may bring a lawn chair or blanket. You may not bring weapons, drugs, coolers or alcohol.

JUNIOR BOUNCERS – (Sold Out)

  • The Junior Bouncer Course is a half-mile course for those aged 6-11. Participants get a T-shirt prior to the race when they check in at the registration tent. Race times are 10:15am and 1:15pm – please line up at the Adult’s Starting Line 10 minutes prior. Junior Bouncers DO NOT receive a medal when they finish.

FACILITIES

  • There will be port-a-potties onsite.
  • Food and beverages can be available for purchase at the Sawmill and local food trucks brought in for the event.

WEATHER & NATURAL DISASTER POLICY

  • There are no scheduled “rain dates” for events owned and directed by the Insane Inflatable 5K. Events are held rain, shine or snow. In the case of significantly inclement weather (i.e. lightning in the area), we reserve the right to alter components of the event or course to address safety concerns, or potentially delay, postpone or cancel the event. In addition, it is possible that while we desire not to cancel the event, our facility and/or municipalities may force the cancellation of the event.
  • In such situations, there will be No Refunds of entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee. Monies collected have already been used to develop and produce the event. We promise to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event. Any decision made to go forth with the event is contingent on the overall event and course safety, and is made in concert with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate.
