Last year I was vacationing in Florida, when I happened to see a gigantic stingray leap from the water. I also happened to see a (thankfully) much smaller one swimming around my feet when I was at one of the causeways that run across Tampa Bay.

I have never seen anything like this.

Nick Honachefsky of Normandy Beach caught that monster off the coast of Lavalette. Nick measured that ray at about six feet across, but Wiki says they can reach widths of THIRTEEN FEET.
