Earlier in the week you heard the story about dogs rescued from a house in Howell where the family was hoarding dogs. 276 dogs were removed from the house!

Since the story broke, the phones have been ringing off the hook at Monmouth County SPCA with people wanting to adopt the dogs. Officials say the dogs will be available for adoption eventually, but it will take some time as all the animals have to be evaluated first for health and temperament issues.

However...You can still help now!

  • You can make a donation to the Monmouth County SPCA that will directly help the Howell dogs. Click here for the donation page
  • Provide foster care for animals until they can provide permanent homes.

The Patch has listed other ways you can help right now, as the Howell dogs rescued get healthy enough for adoption.
