Yes Might Create a New Studio Album
Chris Squire is saying that “We’re already looking at bits and starting to gather music together.” But he does add that “It’s really just in the germination stage at the moment.”
An article at ultimateclassicrock.com reveals that if the album does come together, this will be the band’s first with new singer Jon Davison, who stepped in for Anderson’s replacement, Benoit David, recently.
Drummer Alan White is indicating that we shouldn’t “jump the gun just yet.” But “We are thinking about it, let’s put it that way.”
One thing is definite. They’ll set out on the road for their Spring 2013 North American tour from March 1st through April 12th, playing three albums in their entirety (for the first time) each night (The Yes Album, close to the Edge and Going for the One).
They’ll also lead a cruise titled “Cruise to the Edge” in late March, being billed the following way:
“…more than a concert cruise, this is an interactive experience with some of the giants who have built Progressive Rock! This is truly the event of a lifetime, bringing back great memories and building new ones hanging out with YES, Steve Hackett – Genesis Revisited, UK, Carl Palmer Band, Tangerine Dream, Saga, Nektar, Zebra, Glass Hammer, IOEarth, Heavy Mellow and more!”
