Major League Baseball has announced the first-ever regular season games to be played in Europe - and they chose the best rivalry to highlight.

For two game series, June 29th & 30th 2019, the Yankees and Red Sox will battle eachother at London's Olympic Stadium.

According to ESPN, MLB will officially announce the games and all details some time next week.

MLB has already done games in Mexico and Japan, but this will be the first time a team has played in Europe. I'm kind of surprised they chose to do it in June, rather than just playing two games for Opening Weekend, then giving players a two day break to fly home. The international travel is going to be rough on the teams, but I guess the extra $60,000 they each get for participating in the games (thanks to baseball's collective bargaining agreement) will make it a bit easier.
