Would You Pay For ‘Prime’ Mall Parking?

You may have seen this already on Facebook...the Freehold Raceway Mall has started to charge shoppers extra just to park closer to the mall.

The property owners have marked 50-60 spots between Macy's and Nordstrom for "prime" parking. The five bucks you pay won't even get your car parked by a valet (which is something the mall already does on the other side of the building), you still need to park yourself, just to save a few steps, or maybe to keep your car away from the commoners.

Rumor has it that this is just a "pilot" program, so I guess if there's enough of a backlash, the Mall could change their mind. Feel free to voice your opinion on Facebook!
